What type of information we have

Most of the personal information we process is provided to us directly by you for one of the following reasons

Communication Data that includes any communication that you send to us whether  through email, text, social media messaging or any other communication that you send us. We process this data for the purposes of communicating with you, for record keeping and for the establishment, pursuance or defense of legal claims. Our lawful ground under GDPR for this processing is

our legitimate interests which in this case are to reply to communications sent to us, to keep records, perform a public task and to establish, pursue or defend legal claims.

How we store your information

Your information is securely stored in Grindon Village Hall and on a designated Parish Council laptop secured at the Clerks home address.

We keep electronic communication for 7 years, we then delete this from the laptop.

Your right to rectification – You have the right to ask us to rectify information you think is inaccurate. You also have the right to ask us to complete information you think is incomplete.

You are not required to pay any charge for exercising your rights. If you make a request, we have one month to respond to you.
