Working with our local community, we are seeking volunteers to help renovate and maintain key aspects of the local parish. We invited members of the public to put ideas forward for a range of community projects on the 4th September. As a result we have a number of projects that we would like to develop. Our meeting in May will explain what the council has implemented so far and will listen to any ideas that you have to enhance Grindon parish for the benefit of the community.

The posts have been repositioned to straighten them out. Some of the missing posts have been replaced and stained.
The benches have had a coat of varnish too.
The daffodil bulbs have been planted and the woodland trust will be sending us some trees to plant in March 2024.

We hope you have noticed all the new lovely daffodils around the village. purchased by the parish council and planted with the help of the Grindon Gardening Club.
Money has been raised from the Christmas Wreath Making at the beginning of December 2023 and also the Quiz held in March 2024. With thanks to Manifold Meats who donated the beef for the lovely hot beef sandwiches. This money is going towards the refurbishment of the play area.
