4.Minutes of previous meeting held on Monday 7th August 2023 reviewed & signed by chair NG
5.Planning
1. NP/SM/0723/0854 Twist Green Farm, Parsons Lane, Grindon : no objections
2. A guide with valid objections to planning was passed round the councillors. This will be laminated for reference at all meetings and sent by email.
3. NP/SM/0623/0625 Ryebrook, Martinslow Lane, Ford. Permission granted with conditions
6. Business remaining from last meeting
1. Playground – 2 lots of costings so far. Lots of discussions re cutting down costs but agreed for funding to be investigated before making a final decision.
2. Training booked for all councillors on 12th October. Clerk passed on some of the things she had learnt from her training and it was agreed for a Clerks Log to record matters being dealt with.
7. Correspondence
1. Highways 4329275 Manifold Valley Road Wetton reply to say they have assessed the situation
2.Peak park re church – no permission required for path but have referred it to the Cultural Heritage Team to see if Listed building consent is required.
8. Finance
1. Monthly accounts – need to request money for lengthsman from SMDC. Bill for Village Hall rental to be paid.
2.Website costs, need to get website up and running before November.
9. How to progress public priorities
1. Await Gardening club meeting for them to send a plan of what they can do
2. Ford defibrillator – expression of interest has been registered, keep Ford residents informed
3. Start with posts around green
4. Put football nets back in the green
5. Reply to residents email re offer of mowing
