3.Declaration of Interest J Stanish (9.2 planning Hurdon Lowe)
4.Minutes of previous meeting held on Monday 24th April 2023 accepted by all, signed by chair NG.
There is a need to create a new generic email address. Once set up, the previous acting clerk ND will forward any correspondence.
District Council need to be informed regarding changes
All councillors to complete and return a declaration of interest form.
Bank account. Currently GN is the only signatory on the account whereas previously there were 4
5.Matters arising
Currently the County Council have a website on hold for Grindon that needs organising.
An application for the position of clerk has been received and they will be interviewed.
6.Correspondence
6.1.A resignation letter was received from the Lengthsman. Position to be advertised in the village newsletter.County Council has a definition and job description for the role of village Lengthsman.
6.2 Peak District National Park Authority formal proposals were discussed
6.3 Jonathan Kempster, Manifold Ward District Councillor had written to request to attend a Grindon Parish Council meeting and also invited residents to attend a “20’s plenty” and community speed watch event in Warslow Village Hall on 7th June at 7pm.
7.Maintenance
7.1 Village benches require refurbishment SS & AF to assess and SS volunteered to carry out the works. AM can supply yachting varnish
7.2 Enclosed area of village green needs topping as soon as possible due to unusually early grass growth.
8.Highways
8.1 GN reported that the cattle grid near the church needs clearing out and is the responsibility of the County Council.
8.2 Grindon Station gatepost as rotted off and the gate is no longer attached. This has led to cars driving along the Manifold Valley.
9.Finance
9.1.Current balances at 12.05.2023
9.2.Community Account £4,650.50
Business Premium Account £2,506.90
9.3Accounts 2022/23 now AGAR and internal audit to be completed.
10.Check village hall hire invoice for May 2022.
11.Planning Matters
11.1 PDNPA NP/SM/0223/0176 Quarry Farm. Decision Notice granted with conditions
11.2 PDNAPA NP/SM/0423/0449 Hurdon Lowe. Application for the removal or variation of condition 3 on NP/SM/777/68. Not opposed.
